The Netherlands is a UN and EU member state and implements UN and EU sanctions. The Sanctions Act 1977 governs the implementation and enforcement of these international sanctions. The Netherlands imposes autonomous financial sanctions under the Terrorism Sanctions Regulation.
The Netherlands imposes EU export controls on dual-use products, as well as its own export controls on listed dual-use items.
