Iceland is a UN member state and implements UN sanctions. Although Iceland is not a member of the EU, Iceland aligns itself with EU sanctions and export controls via the Law on the Implementation of International Sanctions and Freezing of Assets 2023. Iceland also implements sanctions passed by the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
